  • Condition: All three items are in excellent condition. We have not cleaned them and consequently they appear in their original soiled condition, both coins with residual polishing paste and dirt from the former owner. We leave the final cleaning, which should not be difficult, to the buyer. The pinback is clean. One can see clearly on its reverse the maker's mark: B and B of Saint Paul, a union shop. The 1949 eagle coin is clear on both sides with the State Seal on the reverse along with Winter Carnival information. The 1938 coin that shows a dynamic cross-country skier on the front has a somewhat difficult to read reverse that gives the name of one of the Carnival sponsors, Minnesota Federal Savings and Loan Association. All three items bear the Winter Carnival title and their respective dates.

    Two Coins and a Pinback,

    ST. PAUL'S (MN) WINTER CARNIVAL
    1938, 1942 & 1949
    These three items are in excellent condition.  We have not attempted to clean them even though the coins have a clear residue of metal polish.  This can easily be cleaned off by the buyer.
    Both coins are a shiny gold color, a quality we failed to capture in our photos.  The pinback is accurately presented.
