    This is an unusual  c. 1900 figural match safe in the shape of a deer leg fitted with a Stanhope. The Stanhope has 6 views with A Memory of Haltwhistle, printed in the center; Haltwhistle Burn, upper left; Parish Church, upper right; Elenkinsopp Castle, center left; The Bridges, right center; Unthank Hall, lower left; Parish Church Interior, lower right; McKee, Dublin, and bottom left & Made in France. The match safe is made of wood with skin and plated brass fitments. Its approximately 2 1/2 x 7/8 inches. The images are sharp and clear.
