    Description

Here is a silver colored folding matchbook case labeled "Bambu Alcoy Made in Spain". I bought it from a street vendor in Madrid, Spain in the late 1970s, but understand it was made in Alcoy, Spain. I bought it to carry US-Army issued MRE folding matchbooks, which fit perfectly inside; any folding matchbook fits fine. I remember the vendor told me it was sterling silver, but I don't thing I believed him even as a young naive American. (I think it is tin or something similar.) Bambu is a well-known maker of cigarette rolling papers; some of their packets also fit perfectly inside; I think they made the case so either would fit perfectly; it is almost exactly 2 inches square. (Matchbook shown for demo only, not included.) Case is in nearly-new condition to be over 50 years old, but has a few minor age-related tarnished spots. Thanks for looking.  Free Shipping!!
