ca1905 TIN LITHOGRAPH WALL MOUNT ADVERTISING MATCH HOLDER - OLD JUDSON WHISKEY

Very rare and original, ca1905 Old Judson Whiskey, Tin Lithograph Advertising Wall Mount Match Holder in outstanding, original condition.
The back panel of this great Thin Litho Match Holder measures approx. 3 3/8” by 5" and features wonderful “Home Coming” image depicting a father coming into a living room from the rain. His wife is removing his wet overcoat and his young daughter is presenting him with a glass of Old Judson Whiskey. The little girl holds the whiskey bottle in her right hand and extends the glass of whiskey in her left hand towards her dad. Text on a ribbon device at the top of the image reads “Old Judson”. Text on the front of the pocket that holds the matches reads "J. C. Stevens / 518 Delaware St. / Kansas City, U.S.A.” - the distiller of Old Judson Whiskey. Text on each side of the pocket reads "Age Guaranteed". The Match Holder is not dated but does carry the mark of the manufacturer – the Savage Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York.
This rare and wonderful, Tin Litho Match Holder is in excellent+ condition. The colors are bright and vibrant and the surfaces are exceptionally well preserved. There is a shallow bend at the upper left hand corner of the back plate and some light edge wear to the lithographed surface but overall the lithography is exceptionally well preserved and all of the surfaces retain their original, brilliant surface shine. Even the match strike surface is crisp and clean and shows no evidence of use. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the form and outstanding condition of this rare Wall Mount, Tin Litho Match Holder.
