A very rare copy of the classic Connie Hawkins book, Foul!
This paperback edition is the only copy we've seen signed
by both Connie Hawkins and the book's author, David Wolf.

Even as a playground legend, Hawkins had the jaw-dropping flash
that superstars like Elgin Baylor, Julius Erving and Michael Jordan
would display, turning pro basketball into a national sports spectacular.
“He was Julius before Julius, he was Elgin before Elgin, he was Michael
before Michael,” the longtime college and pro coach Larry Brown once
said in an ESPN documentary on Hawkins. “He was simply the greatest
individual player I have ever seen.”
Hawkins, who played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association
with three teams, was a four-time All-Star with the Suns and averaged more
than 16 points a game. But his pro career was haunted by what ifs.
Condition becomes less of a factor the more rare the item. That said,
this paperback has several condition issues that must be noted. First,
there is a large crease on the front cover that runs the length of the cover,
from top to bottom. In the photos, you'll see it run through the letter U in the
title FOUL! and down through the basketball to the bottom of the front cover.
There are also a few pages where the corners have been folded in, see pictures.
Finally, the first page has what appears to be clip or binding marks which you
can see in the pictures, above the author's name and the following text.
Other than this, the pages are tight, the binding is tight, and there are no other
marks or writing.
