antique cherry geo. hunzinger platform rocker, mint, original finish, the best.

for sale, antique geo. hunzinger cherry platform rocker, circa 1885. it is in mint condition with original finish.  I have had and still have many hunzinger and merklin pieces and this is the only one that ever retained a sticker.  it also has the innovative brass signature duplex spring.  at any rate hunzinger at his best.  I recovered it maybe 20 years ago and put some fabric and padding on the back of the chair.  I never sat it in however but it is more comfortable with some padding on the back.  the back was not covered originally and can be removed in a few minutes with no resulting issues to the chair.   it does sit well and rocks the best.it is 36 inches tall, about 24 wide, and 18 inches deep.  it is 13 inches from floor to top of board seat, 16 inches to the top of the padding and fabric.  I have a 20 year old book that has this chair priced at 3500.00.  I am starting it at about what I have in it.  I am old, crippled, and about done for but need to dispose of close to a thousand furniture pieces, mostly high end, and over 10.000 smalls,  a lot of high end porcelain, lamps, dore bronze etc. etc.  I have no one that wants any of it so I need to do what I can to lighten the load on someone when I kick the bucket.  I doubt I get very far along in my venture.  it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense.    perhaps the greatest joy I have had in life on a consistent basis is dabbling with antiques.  do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some.  best to all.  good luck
