    Description

    Antique metal with celluloid wrap match safe advertising the Libby & Williams Paper Co.  The company operated in downtown St. Louis on 2nd street in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  They produced products for the building trades as well as specialty paper and envelopes.   The match safe has a striker on the bottom and is marked with the company information and products.  It was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Co in Newark, NJ and is marked along one side under the slogan "Twine of all Kinds".
    Antique item in good condition with vintage patina, tarnish, a green mark on the side with "Twine of all Kinds", a strong hinge, and no dents or breaks.  Please see photos.
