  • Condition: I need to pass on the backlog list with these games, rebuilds and purchases. I guess the lockdown and stim checks has everyone playing board games again. The eBay item you purchased has a 30 day handling time from the purchase date before shipment. That is the maximum eBay can set it at. The way it looks that might be close to 8-10 weeks before actual shipment from the date of purchase. Games, rebuilds and repairs are shipping almost daily. I'm working 24/7 on these but the backlog is out there. If you are ok with that, make the purchase. That will put your purchased item in the shipment queue from the purchase date. Thanks for understanding.

    1972 -
The Voice From The Great Beyond
The Sequel to the highly successful 1971 Voice of the Mummy Board Game. With the release of the Seance game 1972 came a redesigned record player from top to bottom. This new design was then shared with the Voice of the Mummy 1971 game still in production. The removal of the turntable speed controller is the first item noticed. A snubber diode was added across the motor to combat arcing, loss of motor torque and provide an exact voltage and current drop for the new designed motor. This setup allowed the turntable to maintain an exact RPM to hear the voice at the correct pitch as the battery became depleted. The Seance designed player added a new tone arm assembly and needle design with 2 adjacent

    Séance Game Play Description
A Game for 3 or 4 Players The Story: The Players are the nieces and nephews of old Uncle Everett who has passed on and left a most peculiar will. For old Uncle Everett was a spiritualist... that is, he believed his spirit would come back and guide the distribution of his wealth. In his will, he requested his nieces and nephews to come back to a Seance in his old Victorian mansion. He left each one ,000 and a chance to make more -- or lose some. The bulk of the estate and money went to Zeke the Parrot, but he has also given the players a chance to bid on and obtain other articles of uncertain value. Uncle Everett will "buy" them back, giving the players a chance to increase their inheritance. Uncle Everett's "Voice From The Great Beyond" will be conjured up in the Seance. Every time the hidden switch is pressed, his voice will be heard. Come on! Let's go to the Seance, and contact Everett's spirit.
When the game is over and the room is plunged into darkness,
it is said that the image of Uncle Everett may be seen.
I recently had a question about the price of these games.  So,  I explained about how much effort goes into each set for sale.
The record player is completely rebuild to make sure it plays everytime and at the correct speed. The parts being used as replacements are actual sapphire needles, real turntable belts at exact dimensions, new motors that spin at the correct speed.
All metal contacts are removed, cleaned, polished then bent and tensioned into better than factory production.  If the metal contacts are too corroded, they are replaced with hand-made metal contacts cut from K&S Metals quality brass sheet.  The metal contacts are properly tensioned to hold onto the battery for maximum current flow to the motor.
Then, when the player rebuild is complete, the last step is to fine tune to turntable speed for it to play at the correct speed-pitch.  This is done by adding precision resistors to control the voltage/current to the motor.
All record messages are individually checked out to play correctly. If messages are found to skip, these are repaired using a microscope.  These records took a beating from kids and frequently need repairs because of the player lid slamming onto the record. A lid slam creates a ding or heavy scratch the causes it to skip on at least 2 or more messages. That's very annoying to hear and all random messages are important for proper game play balance.
The table legs on the players were originally way too tight to install and take off. These were frequently broken during setup. The legs and player bottom are discreetly custom filed to fit with easy on and off.
These record players use real sapphire needles and real turntable belts as originally designed. The .07 mil needles are checked out under a microscope to make sure they aren't damaged. Any needles that are damaged, can't be seen by the naked eye and will cause immediate damage to the record. Those damaged needles tips are repaired under a microscope.
The boxes and game pieces frequently take storage damage over the years. All box corner splits are neatly repaired using clear Tacky Glue for a strong bond. All of the game parts are inspected to make sure it sets up correctly. Any lifted, split or severely warped cardboard pieces are cleaned and repaired.
So, all of this is done on each game set so that the buyer can just have fun playing the game. Buying it cheaper broken or incomplete from a yard sale or off eBay will leave you frustrated and disappointed.
I hope that helps! Check the recent feedback on the games. Any other questions, please ask!
